The building was completed in the summer of 1993 as the home of the chamber music festival and as a year-round cultural event centre for Kainuu. Its architecture and setting emphasise a connection to nature. The Lentua hall is the main concert and event hall, suited to concerts, theatre, corporate events and seminars, while Pajakka is a flexible space for meetings, training and small performances.
Meeting, workshop, trade fair and party spaces are available, with modern AV equipment. Catering comes from the on-site café, Kahvila Juttua. Tickets can be collected from the box office or bought online via lippu.fi, hotel packages are offered, and staff help plan events. There is a hearing loop, accessible seating and toilet, and a wheelchair accessible entrance and car park.
