This artisan bakery makes its breads and pastries by hand rather than by machine. Its speciality is Kainuu rönttönen, a product with Protected Geographical Indication status that only this bakery makes. It is also known for ruistikku rye sticks in flavours such as rye, lingonberry, blueberry and chocolate. The Karelian-style pies come with fillings of carrot, turnip, reindeer, potato, smoked salmon and blueberry. The range also includes rye, oat, country-style and spelt breads, sweet pastries, and at Christmas joulutorttu pastries and Runeberg tarts.
On site there is a café and delicatessen with a terrace, and the café hosts events such as Halloween and winter dinner shows. Products are also sold in supermarkets around Kainuu, and a web shop delivers orders. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are all wheelchair accessible.
