Savonia is a university of applied sciences in Eastern Finland, with further campuses in Varkaus and Iisalmi. It offers bachelor's and master's degrees in day, blended and online formats, and degrees can also be completed in English. Fields include business, natural resources, tourism and catering, culture, social and health care, and technology. Open university studies, continuing education, specialisation and diploma training are also available, and the school carries out research, development and innovation with students and experts, including for companies.
Open university courses for upper secondary and vocational students are free of charge, except courses with card or material costs. Campus tours, applicant events and school visits for guidance counsellors and students are organised, and a yearly joint application lists the bachelor's and master's programmes. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
