Founded in 1777, the pharmacy occupies the first floor of Matkus shopping centre and displays its original licence signed by the King of Sweden. It stocks medicines, supplements, skin and wound care, pharmacy cosmetics, hygiene and pet products. It belongs to the Avainapteekki chain and trains pharmacy students.
Prescription medicines are dispensed at the counter with advice. Vaccinations require an appointment; bring a vaccine or obtain one from the pharmacy. Services include prescription renewal requests, travel and insurance documents, and dose dispensing every two weeks with medication assessment involving a doctor. Care units can order through Easymedi. Medicine waste is accepted. The entrance, parking and seating are wheelchair accessible.
