Founded in 1969, the private English immersion kindergarten serves children aged 3–7. A committee of eight parents elected annually runs the non-profit organisation. Four groups operate at two sites, with native English- and Finnish-speaking teachers and childcare staff.
Neither children nor parents need English skills when starting. Six-year-olds attend pre-primary education. The curriculum combines Finnish early education guidelines with its own programme covering language, maths, social and emotional skills and creative development. Municipal service vouchers or Kela private day care allowance can be used. Children can later apply to the bilingual class at Rajala primary school.
