This culture and nature trail runs through landscapes painted by the von Wright brothers, 19th-century artists who grew up in Haminalahti. The route is 3.1 km long, with a separate 1.2 km branch to Mustalahti. It follows forest paths and country roads and is marked with signs and poles bearing a wood grouse symbol.
The hike is relatively easy, though there are some height differences and stairs on the steepest sections. It is ideally walked when there is no snow or ice on the ground. A lean-to shelter stands along the route, and the starting point has a parking area, a toilet, an info board and a waste disposal site.
