The harbour area is a tourism and events hub with a harbour building, harbour square and several restaurants. It played a role in trade and transport before the railways. The oldest buildings include the customs and packing house from the 1850s; the harbour office and wooden warehouses date from the 1900s.
The harbour is next to the Kauppatori market square. The entrance and parking area are accessible.
