The municipal beach lies on the shore of the Pitkämö artificial lake. A long sandy beach offers space for play, with a children's play area and three beach volleyball courts.
There is a large jetty and changing cabins. The water is over two metres deep beyond the jetty's end. Water flows through the lake, which swimmers should account for further from shore. Fishing permits are handled through the city's website.
