This vocational education provider teaches young people and adults in the Päijät-Häme region. Fields of study include beauty care, vehicle maintenance, culinary arts, construction, retail, and textiles and fashion. Applications are taken through the national joint application, and continuous application is also open.
Students run practical services: a beauty salon, vehicle servicing, a restaurant and a pet boarding facility. Student-run shops Opinstore and Kauppis operate alongside an online shop, SalpausPay. Employers can take on apprentices and student placements, and companies are offered continuing education, workplace instructor training and management development. A partnership programme links the school with regional companies and public bodies, and stipend donations go to field-specific stipend funds. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
