This outdoor recreation area on the east and southeast shore of Lake Alasenjärvi has a campsite and swimming beach. A narrow black alder grove beside the shore path provides habitat for hole-nesting and waterbirds. The route passes Iron Age dwelling sites on Paakkola hill, dated to AD 300–800.

Paths continue towards Ahtiala, Sepänniemi and Sipura, or to the birding lake Kaarlammi, with a lean-to shelter on a rocky hill. The routes are also suitable for cycling. Accessible parking is beside the campsite and beach, and buses serve the area. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
