This training location is part of the Häme regional defence district's voluntary national defence programme. The district's courses emphasise shooting, reserve leadership, combat first aid, logistics, operations in darkness and physical training. Courses for women and young people are also offered.
Training is open to civilians and military personnel of all genders and supports preparedness for normal and emergency conditions. Courses are listed in an online calendar, with the OmaMPK account service available. The organiser is a public-law body supervised by the Ministry of Defence, with duties defined in law.
