The household sorting station run by Ylä-Savon Jätehuolto accepts concrete, bricks, ceramics, wood, cardboard, glass, metal, paper and garden waste. Electrical appliances, hazardous waste, batteries and usable clothing and textiles are also accepted.
Quantity limits apply to some materials and can be checked online. Mixed waste, asbestos, car tyres, medicines, needles and mercury thermometers are not accepted. Packed asbestos must go to the Ylä-Savo waste centre in Iisalmi. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
