The present cross-plan church and bell tower date from 1765; the parish's first church was built in 1637. Seating about 500, the building has a pulpit made by Johan Backman in 1765 and Ilmari Launis's 1915 altarpiece The Burial of Jesus. Its mechanical-action organ was built by Hans Heinrich's organ factory in 1987 and has 21 stops.
The church hosts services, concerts, weddings, confirmations and funerals. Premises can be hired through the parish. A major renovation in 2015 renewed systems including safety, lighting and sound. The entrance, toilet and car park are wheelchair accessible.
