The family bakery was founded in 1965 by master baker Olavi Siintovaara and is now run by Jani Siintovaara, the third generation. It is known for its meat pies, which are also made in a vegan version. It bakes handmade rice and potato pies, bread, pastries and small savoury and sweet baked goods.
It sells through its own café-shop in Kourula and through a wide network of resellers across South Karelia. Weekly deliveries also reach about 30 locations in Kymenlaakso and the Helsinki region. Breakfast, café products, custom cakes and catering are offered. The bakery moved to its present premises in the Kourula shopping area in 2011, into the former K-market building, and has about 30 staff. The car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
