The agency is responsible for the real estate, maintenance and property services of the Finnish Defence Administration. It has been a subsidiary of Senaatti-kiinteistöt since 2021, and its roughly 670–700 staff serve the Finnish Defence Forces across the country. Services cover building construction, property maintenance, cleaning and environmental services, and projects include military facilities such as training halls and barracks, for example for the Kainuu Brigade and the Rovaniemi air base.
Customers get a single point of service for all defence property needs, with a focus on security, readiness and preparedness. An online customer services portal handles Senaatti and Puolustuskiinteistöt properties. Environmental matters are managed under a certified system based on ISO 14001.
