The animal welfare centre was completed in 2021–2022 inside a historic canal building beside Mustola lock. The nonprofit association shelters homeless animals, with an on-site clinic providing their basic treatments. A cat hotel boards pets while their owners are on holiday or otherwise away.
A multipurpose room hosts café days and can be hired for events. Visits are possible during visiting hours or by prior arrangement, and the centre opens during café hours on café days. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
