The association promotes water and environmental protection in South Karelia. Its projects cover lake restoration, wetland construction, shoreline clean-ups and biodiversity, including restoration at Kuolimo-Kiesilänjoki, fish counting on the Hiitolanjoki and water protection at Sorvaslahti.
It organises public events and training, including groundwater courses. A blog provides water protection tips for cottage owners and shoreline residents. It is a member of the Finnish Association of Water Protection Associations.
