This burger and grill restaurant stands next to the market square and is the oldest grill in the area still in operation, started in June 1968. Locally it is known as Sampan grilli after its founder, Samuli Samppa Hietala. The original menu included hamburgers, grilled sausages and homemade french fries.
The hamburger buns are baked by Hietalan Leipomo, the family bakery. It is a family business whose ownership has passed through three generations, and it became a limited company in 2010. Honkimetsän Herkku and Hietalan leipomo are sister outlets of the same family. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
