The speciality here is särä, a traditional lamb dish prepared over about nine hours and described as Finland's oldest food. It is served buffet-style on the principle of eating as much as you like, with several rounds encouraged. The menu is small and all guests sit at one shared table. Groups can use rooms for up to 160 people, and the venue suits birthdays, weddings and meetings.
The delicatessen shop sells särä pieces, potatoes, broths and SÄRÄ HELLES beer, along with Yön Yli Särä dry meat, a handmade product smoked over birch and alder. Catering is offered, and pre-orders can be placed in the online shop. Tables can be booked on the website. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are wheelchair accessible.
