The stone-built speaker's platform was made for a final parade and march-past after the Winter War in 1940. Soldiers built it at night after the local priest had refused permission for a reviewing stand on church land.
It stands beside the church bell tower and forms part of the Independence Path heritage route. A copper plaque on the front bears the coats of arms of Savo, Karelia and Uusimaa and the battle sites Pilppula, Summa, Kämärä and Tali.
