The ice cave lies about 30 metres below ground at Vesileppis. Professional ice carvers have sculpted Moomin characters and winter scenes in the ice, based on Tove Jansson's original Moomin comic strips. The sculptures are lit with changing lights and sound, and the cave hosts the seasonal exhibition Moomin Grandpa Remembers. It is part of the Vesileppis winter park, which also has a tube slide and a long ice slide.
Tickets can be bought in advance online or at the Vesileppis reception, and gift cards and a personal annual season pass are available. Vesileppis also offers accommodation with spa and gym access. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
