Founded in 1975, the ice hockey club fields men's and women's teams and junior age groups, with a Leijonaliiga programme for children. Its first league match took place in December 1975. It has long cooperated with Jokerit, while a KalPa agreement supports junior player development.
Home games are played at the ice hall, where the club moved from outdoor ice in 1998. Its children's hockey school has operated since 2010. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
