This scout troop belongs to the Finnish scouting movement. It was founded in 1956 as the girls' troop Leppävirran Leppäkertut, and the current name became official in 1997. Groups are organised by age: Sudenpennut (7–10), Seikkailijat (11–12), Tarpojat (13–15), Samoajat (16–18) and Vaeltajat (18–22). The Sisukarhut group is for children and young people who need extra support, and the Sisupartio group has met since autumn 2008.
Adults are welcome as volunteer leaders with no scouting background. The troop is supported by the local parish. It stopped using its own camp site in 2013 and now arranges camps with partners such as the parish and the local hunting association. The scout hut is accessible, including for wheelchair users.
