The bakery and café-shop was founded in 1927 and bought in 2017 by Nina Oinonen, Finnish confectionery champion of 2013. Fresh bread and pastries, both sweet and savoury, are baked in-house six mornings a week, and all products are lactose-free, including the Karelian pie. Premium specialty coffees are served, and a team of eight runs the business.
A weekday lunch buffet is served. The café seats about 30, with a terrace in summer. Custom specialty products and catering for meetings and events are made to order, and gift cards come in any amount. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
