Founded in 1993, the timber processor makes spruce and pine sawn timber, planed products, glulam beams and laminated panels. Raw materials include spruce from Savo and Central Finland and pine from North Karelia. Much of the output is exported to Japan and other Asian markets.
Sourcing uses PEFC and FSC certification. Laboratory testing checks dimensions, moisture, strength and formaldehyde emissions. Structural glulam holds Japanese JAS certification and is delivered below 15 per cent moisture content. Production byproducts are used for animal bedding, pulp and paper, and heating.
