The hotel opened in 1970, and its restaurant still has the marble floors and stone walls of the original interior. The building was designed and built by builder Vesa Koskinen, with construction starting in 1969. Harri and Mervi Leinonen have owned it since 2014, and the rooms and restaurant have been renovated while keeping the original character. Accommodation includes single and double rooms, a family room and a log cabin barn (aitta) near the sauna facilities.
The restaurant is a cellar restaurant with a bar, open year-round, and its covered and open-air terraces are used from April to October. The house hosts family celebrations such as birthdays, confirmations, weddings, christenings and memorial gatherings, and offers companies and groups lunches, dinners and meetings, also outside restaurant hours. The sauna facilities can be rented at weekends. Wi-Fi and parking are free, pets are welcome and the building is non-smoking. Breakfast costs extra, and the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.
