This holiday and course centre stands on the shore of Lake Lohjanjärvi in western Uusimaa and is owned by the Finnish Bible Society (Kansan Raamattuseura). Courses, events, retreats and group bookings run throughout the year for all ages. Events include Bible marathons, prayer days, music-based worship services and creative workshops. Its roots go back about a hundred years: it began in 1916 as a community of Nordic women.
The site has a restaurant and bed and breakfast accommodation, and its activities include the Raamattukylä and Lastenkylä programmes and a book and gift shop. Groups can book rooms for meetings, camps and group meals, and a quotation service is offered for events. The centre is located in the Raamattukylä theatre.
