Sauce making began in a restaurant kitchen in 1983, with the production company established in 1987. The range includes marinades, flavoured oils, mayonnaise, dressings, mustard and dry spices. Cousins Mikko and Jaakko Taberman run the business.
Most of the nearly hundred products are intended for service counters, commercial kitchens and industry to season meat, fish and vegetables. Consumer bottles are also sold through Maustekauppa.net. Production follows an ISO 9001-based quality system introduced in 2000.
