The shooting club was founded in 1958, and its volunteer-built range was completed in 1995. Facilities include a 50-metre rifle range, 25-metre pistol range and a shotgun range with two traps. The club organises competitions, training and coaching and helps with equipment purchase and upkeep.
A log cabin serves as a café and office during competitions and as a club meeting room. Airgun practice takes place in a separate sports pavilion. Shooting is prohibited on listed public holidays, and shooting on the small-bore rifle range is prohibited.
