Known as the Cathedral of the Plains, the church was built in 1886–1889 and consecrated in August 1890. The parish requested a smaller version of the original design. The previous church was destroyed by lightning fire in 1882.
Room bookings go through the parish office. A ramp provides accessible entry; cars can drive up to it because the gravel path may be difficult for wheelchair users. A hearing loop, accessible toilet and accessible parking are available.
