The motorsport centre is the home of the local motor club, founded in 1959, and its activities centre on the Ruotimo area. Disciplines include motocross, rally, rallisprint, jokkis, crosskart, off-road trial and rallicross. The motocross track has hosted Finnish Championship motocross events, the first in 1981. The club was named the Finnish Motor Federation's motor club of the year 2023.
The club holds an annual spring motorcycle and leisure exhibition, a tradition since 1983. The track closes for winter preparation in early November. Members gather for an autumn meeting and a Christmas party. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
