Founded in 1998, this sports association is a member of Suomen Latu, and its ski trail area is part of Itä-Suomen Latualue. It has about 240 members. The association promotes an active lifestyle and organises outdoor activities such as winter swimming, guided walks and sauna evenings.
The winter swimming season starts in October, with a weekly sauna session on Tuesdays. A nature and outdoor-skills club runs for pupils in grades 1 to 3 of the comprehensive school. The association cooperates with local associations, the municipal sports and culture services, the parish and local businesses. Membership is open, and Ullmax outdoor clothing is on sale. The Veljesniemi Christmas sauna is free and open to everyone.
