This fish shop and smokehouse sells locally caught and processed fish. The business dates back to the late 1950s in the Krookka area and has operated since 1960. Fish is smoked every weekday in the traditional smokehouse on the neighbouring plot, using grey alder. Main products include cold-smoked salmon, smoked and fresh whitefish, perch, pike-perch and herring prepared in several ways. Finnish wild salmon is sold in early summer and farmed rainbow trout year-round. Most fish is bought directly from local fishermen on the coast.
Ice for cool bags is available for taking fish home. Products can be reserved by phone in advance to make sure they are available. The shop is open year-round, including weekends, and the range varies daily with supply. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
