This library network serves four municipalities in South Savo, with the main library on the market square. Branch libraries are in Anttola, Haukivuori, Otava, Ristiina and Suomenniemi, and community libraries in Hirvensalmi and Puumala. It is a low-threshold meeting place open to everyone, and its services are free. Events include reading circles, author visits, clubs and digital guidance for older adults, and items other than books can be borrowed. It has been operating since 1864.
Rooms can be used for exhibitions, clubs, meetings and work. The library is part of the Lumme library cooperation group, and its items are listed in the Finna network. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
