The museum of this science and peace centre tells the story of war and peace in Finland and society. The exhibitions are designed to be experienced and reflect on what war does to people and society. The Headquarters Museum presents the leadership of war, including Marshal Mannerheim's office, in original wartime settings. The building has Café-restaurant Rauha for lunch, coffee and private events, and a museum shop with an online shop.
Two guided tours are offered: a 20-minute introductory tour and a two-hour guided exhibition tour, booked at least two weeks ahead. There is its own car park, with bus parking in front of the building. The main entrance is step-free, a lift serves the exhibition floors, accessible toilets are available and wheelchairs can be borrowed. Guide dogs are welcome, lockers and an unguarded cloakroom are free, and cash and common payment cards are accepted.
