This day-care centre belongs to the private Touhula chain, which has 39 units across Finland. Each unit follows its own theme, such as sports, adventure or nature. Children can start from about 10 months of age, and there are rest arrangements for children aged 1 to 5, such as Torkkula and Virkkula.
Families communicate with the centre through the TouGo app, which is used to share photos and weekly letters, book care times and report absences. Applications can be submitted online, and a place can often be confirmed quickly. Each family signs a service agreement before care starts, and a guided introductory visit can be arranged in advance. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
