The market hall is inside Kauppakeskus Stella and reachable from Tähtitori square or the shopping centre's street entrance. It sells fresh breads, pastries and fish, and serves soup lunch on weekdays. Kotileipomo Siiskonen is the hall's oldest shop, known for handmade pastries and rye bread since 1964. Myymälä-Kahvila Bunbum bakes bread and pastries daily in the Otava district and sells them in the hall.
Heinäsen Kalaherkku sells fresh and processed fish from Lake Saimaa and Kyyvesi fishermen, and Eväsherkku offers Finnish snacks and lunch dishes. The Stella shopping centre opened in November 2011, and its name is Latin for star. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
