Founded in 1917 as a sea scout troop, the association offers activities from family scouting to rover groups. Trips and camps take place on land, at sea and on Lake Saimaa, with sailing in the Kotka archipelago aboard the keelboat Katriina.
Cub groups for children around seven meet weekly. Activities also include ship-based camps, and Louhimoniemi provides a site for camps and volunteer work. The association shares updates on Facebook and Instagram and organises members' events.
