Founded in 1945, this member association of the Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities provides peer support. With around 300 members, it aims to support independent living and build community among people with physical and mobility impairments.
Members can use the accessible Lahdenpohja activity centre beside Lake Hietajärvi, with piers, campfire sites and terraces. The association's premises have a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking area.
