A mobile library shared by four border municipalities carries Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish and Sami materials to remote villages. Loans last at least three weeks, while book boxes ordered by schools and kindergartens along the route have a six-week loan period.
Items can be returned to the main libraries and renewed up to five times unless reserved by someone else. Renewals are possible online, in person or by phone. Staff help users get started with the shared e-library of Lapland's municipalities. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
Tell fellow readers in the comments about your experience of borrowing from the mobile library.
