The mobile waste station is part of the network of Lapeco, the Lapland waste management joint authority, and serves municipalities in northern Lapland. Lapeco handles municipal waste management for households, holiday homes, housing companies, builders and businesses.
The mobile station does not accept garden waste, but leaves and branches can be brought free of charge to Lapeco's fixed waste stations. With a customer card, households can use an annual free allowance at the waste stations.
