This local association belongs to the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, a Finnish child and family welfare organisation. It was founded on 5 August 1924, so its history goes back over a hundred years. It runs entirely on volunteers, organising weekly clubs, events and excursions for children and families in the parish premises (Kastehelmi).
Volunteers can serve as association activists, village grandparents in day care and schools, club leaders or family café facilitators. Key partners are the municipality, which funds activities through grants, and the parish. Donations are accepted under a registered fundraising permit. According to its privacy policy, a bouncy castle is available for rent.
