Opened to the public in 1964, the municipal museum occupies a 19th-century grain store on the old church hill. Its permanent exhibition covers wartime and post-war life, prehistoric finds and traditional work. Most objects date from the 1800s and early 1900s; the oldest is a 17th-century Bible.
Furnished interiors and object cases are joined by seasonal exhibitions created with local residents. The entrance service point sells local history books. The museum opens on summer Sundays. Groups and visits at other times can be arranged through municipal wellbeing services. Parking is nearby.
