This is the church of the Lutheran parish and a former Birgittine monastery church, built of brick and stone. It is the only surviving building of the monastery and, after Turku Cathedral, one of Finland's largest medieval churches. It has been a road church since 1999, and services are held on Sundays.
The parish runs groups for children, youth, adults and families. The parish centre at Piispantie 2 houses a café, a flea market and the parish offices, and parish rooms and halls can be rented. The parish also includes Velkua church, Hakapelto chapel and the Soiniemi camp centre. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
