The association's activities date back to 1971, when it began as English-language playgroup activities. It later set up an English-language day care. The day care operations were sold in 2016 to Pilke päiväkodit Oy and became Peppi & Bobby-päiväkoti. Today the association supports English-language education in day care, schools and youth hobbies.
Since spring 2017 it has awarded English language scholarships to school pupils. Recipients are chosen by language teachers, based on improving or succeeding in English studies. Since spring 2021 it also awards grants on application. The board decides each year how scholarships and grants are distributed.
