Founded in the 1930s, this open-air museum presents local life from the 1800s to the mid-1900s. Its 14 relocated log buildings include homes, granaries, a windmill and a stable; the oldest is over 300 years old. Living rooms contain period furniture, textiles and objects, while farm buildings display dairy farming, field work, blacksmithing, woodworking and animal care.
The local heritage association runs the museum and received the Häme-teko award in 2010. Because the terrain is hilly, wheelchair users can be driven to the buildings' courtyards. A veterans' heritage museum and outdoor exercise steps are alongside.
