The café is in the main lobby of the Oulaskangas hospital and is run by Oulaskankaan Kahvila Oy, a family business of Maaret and Tomi Rantanen. Fresh buns, viinerit (Danish-style pastries) and other pastries arrive daily from local bakeries. Sandwiches and croissants are filled on site, including hot pressed options, and the salads are homemade: chicken, feta and tuna.
The range covers coffee, specialty coffees, espresso and cappuccino, plus teas, juices and soft drinks. Cakes, sweets, dried fruit, nuts, ice cream and gift items are also sold, including handmade Bukowski soft toys. Coffee service to the hospital wards is provided at no extra charge. The café serves the general public as well as patients. Seating, parking, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
