This open community house and meeting place is open to everyone, and dozens of social and health sector and other wellbeing organisations work under its roof. It offers rooms, activities and events for the public and runs KumppisGallery, which hosts exhibitions. A shared information and advisory point serves visitors, and the house operates on a safer space principle.
It was founded about 25 years ago as a community of a few organisations and is coordinated by Pohjois-Pohjanmaan sosiaali- ja terveysturvayhdistys ry, which handles premises, accounting and communications for the partners. In 2017 the Ministry of Justice gave it a democracy award for promoting partnership. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
