The kindergarten belongs to Touhula, a chain of private early childhood education units with 39 locations across Finland. Each unit follows a theme such as sports, adventure or nature, and children can start from about 10 months of age. Rest arrangements for ages 1 to 5, such as Torkkula and Virkkula, are in place.
Applications can be submitted on the website, and places can often be confirmed quickly. Each family signs a service agreement before care starts, and a guided introductory visit can be arranged. The TouGo app brings photos and weekly letters, and is used to book care times and report absences. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
