This independent state audit authority operates in connection with the Parliament of Finland. It audits and supervises the whole of the state finances and partly other public finances, and publishes audit reports such as performance audits and reports to Parliament. It also supervises political advertising under the EU regulation and monitors the transparency register of lobbying.
The agency has about 150 staff in audit, supervision and shared services units. Its 2024–2030 strategy aims at sustainable public finances and efficient, transparent state administration. A newsletter on audit and supervision news is available. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
